What you need to know before you rent
Your lights, heating/cooling, and yes, especially your live band, may need a generator to provide power to them in order to get the party started.
When you book one of our bands, if you need a generator, there are some specific requirements that must be met. Here are some details on what you’ll need:
This must be a single (1), diesel powered, trailer towed, minimum 20kW generator. Smaller, less powerful, or gasoline-powered generators are not safe to use with our bands and equipment.
The generator must be delivered, set up, and tested by the generator provider prior to your event’s start time. You don’t want to find out there’s an issue too late!
Think of this as a fancy power strip. The Spider Box distributes power to everything you want turned on! When using one for our bands, this should be on or next to the stage.
Your generator and Spider Box are both expensive paperweights without the proper cables! Also called ‘Spider Box Cable’ or ‘Feeder Cable,’ these cords deliver power from the Generator to the Spider Box.
Renting a generator for your outdoor wedding reception or any other party is an easy way to make sure you have all the amenities of an event venue, all while enjoying the scenic location of your choice. While Intensity does not rent equipment like this, there are numerous vendors nation-wide who can provide safe and affordable power for your event.
